Day 4 - Help Arrives!

Reinforcements arrived today just as our energy was beginning to wane. Todd's Dad arrived early today to kickstart the second phase of the renovation -- demolition. I started the day outside priming the cabinet doors with one coat on the inside and two coats of primer on the cabinet fronts. Look at my soldiers all lined up in the driveway!! Meanwhile, Todd and his Dad went indoors to remove the countertop and backsplash wall and begin sanding all of the cabinetry.

Here are some pics of the kitchen just after the countertop got ripped off, then as Rich begins to pry off the plaster behind the backsplash, then after the wall behind the backsplash is gone, all of the cabinets have been sanded, and Rich is doing some edge sanding by hand.
