After last night's tricky polyurethane application, we were sure that we would awaken to a bit of a disappointment in our floor. We were SURE there would be little voids in the polyurethane and bubbles and such...but NO! We are shamelessly patting ourselves on the backs because the floor is BEAUTIFUL!!! We did SUCH a nice job on the floor! Even not having the superior equipment and daylight hours that we had for the upstairs floor, the dining room floor came out just as nice. Yes, our bodies are sore and our knees are kind of bruised and our hands are way, way dry, but we are satisfied with the outcome. Oh,
we may see tiny imperfections if we get down on the floor, and I am sure we'll be tempted to look for them and buff them out, but it really is lovely as is. And I can't wait for it to cure completely!! Here is another picture of the finished product with the lights on.
