Days 16 & 17 were spent painting a final coat on the lower cabinets, Todd's Dad returned to put up the window molding, and then Todd primed the window molding. We spent Day 18 putting up all of the cabinet doors and then clearing out all of the construction materials and moving all of our kitchen stuff back in. We still have a now much shorter list of things to do to finish up -- we have to paint the window molding, put up the new shade, paint the radiator cover, install the endcaps on the countertops, install a backsplash piece surrounding the pipe chase in the corner of the countertop, and rebuild the now very crooked kitchen cart. But, we are happy with the state of things now. We hosted Thanksgiving and the additional countertop space and dishwasher were immensely helpful -- the useability of our kitchen has definitely gone way up with the addition of these two things as well as the pantry Todd built a year ago and the IKEA Expedit cabinet we bought earlier this month. Quite a change from Day 1 (http://toddandstacey.blogspot.com/2008/08/catskills-day-1-kitchen-renovation.html). More on Thanksgiving soon...
