Springtime is here!

Spring has arrived in Medford. We had out first barbecue / smokehouse evening with Toffee some weeks ago. Of course, Toffee's mom and dad, and her brother Riley, came also. Greta the Jetta even joined in on the fun. Todd is contemplating Toffee in the picture, but she seems not to notice...

On April 25th, we joined my family's team, Team Jose, for a run/walk for Autism Awareness and to raise money for Autism Resource Center of Central Massachusetts. In the 5K, Todd came in 3rd! We were so proud of him representing Team Jose!!

Last week, Miss Audrey invited me to join her at her at her daycare center. We spent a little time inside while I watched her and a friend play in the sandbox then we went outside to plant some flowers in the garden! It was a real treat to spend some time outdoors being active and being imaginative...Thank you Miss Audrey!

This past weekend, even though it was foggy and a little chill, we finally went to the Franklin Park Zoo. We'd been meaning to go the Zoo for, literally, years! Here are some pics of Todd with a peacock in the background and in the other picture, there are two Baird's Tapirs. The gorillas were certainly the most fascinating part of the visit. One gorilla was sitting right against the glass looking in at all of the visitors. The kids were SO excited to see the gorillas SO close...SO WAS I!! I've seen gorillas in zoos before, but it doesn't get old. When I visited the Garrisons last year, we went to the Milwaukee Zoo and I am STILL excited by the cheetah that walked back and forth along the window separating him from a row of little kids...Truly Amazing!!
